Lodging

 

Accommodations and meals will be provided at the Bolger Center from Wednesday evening through Saturday afternoon.  Guest rooms are small, but adequate, and all are smoke-free.  Many recreational activities and other services are available on-site, including a fitness center, swimming pool, road bikes, and computer center.  For additional information, hours, and maps, please click here.  Participants will be responsible for covering travel costs to the D.C. metropolitan area, and ground transportation to and from the airport.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

In order to facilitate your travels to the Bolger Center, please review the transportation information below, including public transit from regional airports and train stations.  Please note that the Bolger Center provides limited free Metro shuttle service – see below for details.    

Ground Transportation From Local Airports

Washington/Reagan National Airport (DCA)

Metro
Upon arriving at Washington/Reagan National Airport (DCA), follow signs to the Metro.  Farecards may be purchased via either cash or credit card, and will cost $3 if traveling during peak periods (or $2.35 if used during off-peak hours).  Board the Yellow Line train in the direction of Mt.  Vernon Square/Fort Totten and disembark at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station.  Follow signs to the Red Line train in the direction of Shady Grove.  Exit at the Bethesda Metro station, and at the top of the long escalator, head to your left.  The Bolger Center shuttle utilizes the third lane next to the Chevy Chase Bank ATM, and runs every hour and fifteen minutes between 5:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. 

Taxicab
Taxicabs are available at the exits of each terminal, and dispatchers are available to assist passengers.  The minimum cost for taxi service from Washington/Reagan National Airport to the Bolger Center is approximately $50, and they do not typically accept credit cards.

SuperShuttle
To use the SuperShuttle shared van service, follow signs for Ground Transportation and to the SuperShuttle boarding area, located curbside at each terminal.  This service costs $13 for the first person and $9 for each additional person.  A uniformed Guest Service Representative will assist you between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.  SuperShuttle can be reached at 1–800–BLUEVAN (1–800–258–3826). 

Dulles International Airport (IAD)  

Metro (via bus)
Washington Flyer Coach
service provides transportation between the Dulles Airport (IAD) and the West Falls Church Metro station every 30 minutes.  To use this service, purchase a ticket ($8) from the Ground Transportation Center’s ticket counter, located inside the vestibule of Door 4 on the Arrivals level.  Then board the bus from the Main Terminal at Door 4, located on the Arrivals level. 

Upon arrival at the West Falls Church Metro station, farecards may be purchased via either cash or credit card, and will cost $3.30 if traveling during rush hour ($2.35 if used during off-peak hours).  Board the Orange Line in the direction of New Carrollton and disembark at the Metro Center station.  Follow signs to the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove.  Exit at the Bethesda Metro station, and at the top of the long escalator, head to your left.  The Bolger Center shuttle utilizes the third lane next to the Chevy Chase Bank ATM, and runs every hour and fifteen minutes between 5:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

SuperShuttle
To use the SuperShuttle shared van service, follow signs to Ground Transportation/Shared Ride Vans.  Ticket counters are located on the lower level, just before the exit.  When your ticket number is called, proceed outside, where a uniformed Guest Service Representative will assist you.  The ticket counter is open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with Guest Service Representatives available until 12 a.m.  This service costs $26 for the first person and $9 for each additional person.  SuperShuttle can be reached at 1–800–BLUEVAN (1–800–258–3826). 

Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI)

Metro (via bus)
The B30 Express Metrobus provides express bus transportation between the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) and Metro every 30 minutes.  The bus fare is $3.00 and will drop you off at Greenbelt Metro station.

Upon arrival at Greenbelt Metro station, farecards may be purchased via either cash or credit card, and will cost $3.80 if traveling during rush hour ($2.35 if used during off-peak hours).  Board the Green Line train heading in the direction of Branch Avenue and disembark at the Fort Totten Metro station.  Follow signs to the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove.  Exit at the Bethesda Metro station, and at the top of the long escalator, head to your left.  The Bolger Center shuttle utilizes the third lane next to the Chevy Chase Bank ATM, and runs every hour and fifteen minutes between 5:15 p.m.

To use the SuperShuttle shared van service, proceed to one of the SuperShuttle ground transportation counters.  These are located on the lower level between Southwest Airlines luggage carousels numbers 1–5 at the Pier A/B baggage claim, and next to baggage claim #10 at Pier C.  When your ticket number is called, proceed outside to board the next available van.  The ticket counter is open from 6 a.m.  to 2 a.m.  The cost is $31 for the first person and $11 for each additional person.  SuperShuttle can be reached at 1–800–BLUEVAN (1–800–258–3826). 

Ground Transportation From Union Station (Amtrak)

Metro
Upon arrival, follow signs to the Metro, located within Union Station on the lower level.  Farecards may be purchased via either cash or credit card, and will cost $2.45 if traveling during rush hour ($1.85 if used during off-peak hours).  Take the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove.  Exit at the Bethesda Metro station, and at the top of the long escalator, head to your left.  The Bolger Center shuttle utilizes the third lane next to the Chevy Chase Bank ATM, and runs every hour and fifteen minutes between 5:15 p.m. 

Taxicab
Taxicab stands are located in front of Union Station.  The minimum cost for taxi service from Union Station to the Bolger Center is approximately $30, and they do not typically accept credit cards.
